EKA environmental policy
The Estonian Academy of Arts aims to contribute to sustainable societal development and the growth of public welfare through its international high-level research, education, development, and creative work, along with the innovative services based on them.
Environmental monitoring and minimising negative environmental impacts
The Academy monitors direct and indirect environmental impacts of its activities using environmental metrics and reduces negative environmental impacts.
Environmental conservation and eco-friendly transportation
Key initiatives include implementing sustainable use of natural resources, preventing environmental pollution, minimising contamination, restoring the environment, and promoting eco-friendly transportation.
Waste reduction and sorted collection
The Academy implements environmentally sustainable practices: avoiding waste, reducing waste, sorting waste, and facilitating reuse, cross-use, and recycling.
Conservation of energy, water, paper, materials, and data volume
Reduces excessive consumption of electricity, heating energy, ventilation, water, paper, materials, and data volume, while seeking to enhance quality, lifespan, naturalness, economy, and functionality.
Enhancing environmental awareness
The Academy recognises its role as a creator of new developments and directs its employees, students, and society towards seeking more environmentally conscious, ethical, innovative, practical, and functional solutions to current global issues.
