The EKA Research Grant program aims to establish and develop research topics and teams of importance to the academy, enhance knowledge transfer, and boost the competitiveness of the academy’s research and development activities. The duration of the research grant is up to 24 months.
Types of Research Grants:
Research Grant: Focused on scientific work, with funding of up to €45,000 per year.
Creative Research Grant: Focused on creative-based research, with funding of up to €45,000 per year (for group grants) or up to €25,000 per year (for individual grants).
Development Grant: Focused on applied projects carried out in collaboration with private, public, or non-profit sector organizations, with funding of up to €45,000 per year.
In justified cases, the committee reserves the right to adjust the project’s budget.
Additionally, applicants can apply for a Continuation Grant, aimed at supporting the continuation of a research direction and preparing a new project following the conclusion of a fixed-term research project (e.g., PUT, Mobilitas, etc.). The continuation grant can last up to 24 months.
Research and development grants are generally awarded as group grants, while the Creative Research Grant can be awarded as either an individual or a group grant.
Application and Evaluation:
Applications must be submitted through the EKA electronic document management system (WebDesktop/WD)
Application deadline: November 13, 2024
The research grants will be evaluated by a 5-member committee (three members from EKA’s academic staff and two external members)
The results will be announced in December 2024.
