The latest meeting of the CIRRUS network took place on April 2–4 at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) in Tallinn. Over three days, leaders of the Nordic and Baltic region’s top art and design universities gathered to jointly discuss the challenges of academic leadership and share experiences in a rapidly changing higher education environment.
CIRRUS is a collaborative network of art, design, and architecture universities in the Nordic and Baltic countries, established in 1990. The network’s goal is to advance design and art education and foster international cooperation on a regional level. Today, CIRRUS brings together 21 partner universities from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. It is one of the most active networks under the Nordplus program—organizing annual short courses, a summer school, and faculty seminars, while also promoting student and faculty exchanges among partner institutions.
