As we begin 2021 amidst an on-going global pandemic, changing political tides, where lockdowns are our current reality – it’s easy to forget to appreciate what we have achieved as a vibrant, dynamic community in the past twelve months.
ELIA’s first ever digital Biennial conference was a success. Of course, we would have preferred to meet you all in person, chatted feverishly over lunch about exciting new transdisciplinary ideas, alas this was not meant to be. However, what the Biennial did prove was that the ELIA community is strong, it seeks connection, embraces warm collaboration and generous knowledge sharing, and holds the enhancement of higher arts education firmly at its core.
