One of the more important parts of producing a puppet film is obviously creating the puppets. In the course “Microfilm in puppet-film technique”, the students were divided into 4 groups and devised scripts for their films throughout autumn. This semester, however, they focused on crafting the puppets.
Under the guidance of Olga Stalev, they engineered their characters’ aluminium frames, grew flesh on their bones and constructed their costumes in order to animate them to life in the next semester.
