Fashion TEX

In the Fashion TEX project, 13 partners from 11 European countries are participating with the aim of creating a new, shared level of expertise to teach digital fashion art in higher education institutions. The project enhances curricula with content geared towards a more sustainable future. The fashion industry utilizes digital fashion across all stages of the value chain, from design to sales, with technologies evolving rapidly. Needs analysis indicates that education in fashion schools in Europe often lags behind what the industry is already implementing. Additionally, schools are at very different stages of teaching: some are already teaching at an advanced level, while others are just starting with digital fashion education. FashionTEX aims to fill these gaps. The project aims to achieve the following innovative results: Development of a new digital training concept that can be used in the future not only by participants in the project but potentially by every European fashion school. Establishment of a workshop to test new processes in the fashion and technology fields. Production of students’ own designs and creations using new digital solutions, as well as the application of technologies. Creation of digital fashion studio courses where students experiment with new digital technologies and AI-supported programs for fashion design and pattern making. Establishment of the future workshop Fashion TEX Makerspace, where the latest technologies such as 3D printing, robotics, and laser cutters can be learned and used, with experienced experts providing teaching and industries offering training and support. Creation of a new European network of fashion schools and the textile industry with innovative multimedia approaches (including virtual showrooms, digital fashion shows, internet platforms, virtual spaces, social media campaigns), and a new platform for information and communication shaping.
