Consisting of a 2-metre long dress and a cape made of 1,300
matches, SCORCHING THE WITCH is inspired by the witch
trials in the 15th-16th century. During this period, witches had
to hide their true being by not revealing their knowledge and
skills. In this project, it is imagined that as the witch is burnt
what remains is a black-charcoaled body and a carcass of a
cape, revealing the true person underneath.
