EKA OFFERS STUDY SPOTS FOR UKRAINIAN ART STUDENTS
Updateted March 8, 2022: EKA’s community decided to support Ukrainian students on February 22. On February 25 we opened up free mover seats to students in Ukraine and quickly got private donors to help us pay for the accommodation. In March 1 we also decided to open a trust to help our Ukrainian students pay for everyday costs. The study seats are covered by EKA.
As of March 8, 98 applications have been submitted. Unfortunately, we cannot accept more students from Ukraine in our programmes anymore. The seats are full. We have spread the word among our partner universities and know that they are accepting students from Ukraine as well. Students from Ukraine who have a BA degree can still apply for MA study seats in EKA until May 1, 2022.
Estonia still accepts refugees from Ukraine.
_____
February 25, 2022: Estonian Academy of Arts offers Ukrainian students free study opportunities at our four faculties of Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, and Art Culture until the situation in their country stabilises.
The study spots are provided by semester (free mover seats) and enable students to continue their studies at several international curricula: fine art, animation, photography, architecture, urban studies, interior architecture, interaction design, graphic design, design and crafts and cultural heritage (in English) and media graphics (in Russian). Both MA and BA level students are welcome to apply. EKA will also announce extension of admission period for degree studies for Ukrainian students.
EKA supports organising housing for the spring semester 2022. Additional help with land transportation will be organised.
