EKA textile alumnus Liisa Torsus received an honorable mention in the final of the Dorothy Waxman International Textile Design Prize competition, which is awarded as part of NYTM (New York Textile Month), with her thesis “Kimustud ja natid”, which means that Torsus got into the top six.

EKA interior architecture (and graphic design) Erasmus exchange student Lieze Vanlerberghe from Ghent art school KASK project “Eesti” from Rummu prison was on the list of Arts Thread’s global design final exhibition 2022.
In October 2022, in addition to Liisa Torsus and Lieze Vanlerberghe, seven fresh EKA graduates could be voted for the candidacy in the final of the Arts Thread Global Design Graduate Show 2022 competition: Birgit Uibo in the category of textiles and fashion design; Aspasia Kazeli in film and animation; Lisette Lepik in painting; Jane Muts in painting; Olev Kuma in painting; Aap Kaur Suvi in contemporary art; Mari-Liis Makus in glass.
