Pauline Ööpik’s ethnographic collection “Rööpad”/”LINES THROUGH THE LAND” was premiered on March 11, 2025, at the Hong Kong Palace Museum during the Culture X AI International Fashion Show in Hong Kong.
The collection is made in collaboration with artificial intelligence about Estonian narrow-gauge railways and how my great-grandfather dismantled one of them and later picked it up.
The Culture X AI International Fashion Show is part of the Culture X AI 2024-2025: Culture and Future Mode program, organized by the Artificial Intelligence in Design Laboratory (AiDLab) in collaboration with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the Royal College of Art (RCA).
