The Lived Trajectories of Material Culture (E-Booklet)

In Materiality, Memory, Aesthetics: An Introduction to Material Culture Studies, a course led by Francisco Martínez, students studied the social and cultural implications of material experiences, examining people’s engagement with things, the affective aspects of this interactions, the significance of things in different contexts, the practices, relations, and rituals through which things become meaningful, as well as what things say about their owners and about social relationships. The coursework resulted in a booklet titled The Lived Trajectories of Material Culture, written in both English and Estonian. Click here to download the full booklet.
