The second conference in the series on Soviet art historiography, concentrating on Socialist Internationalism and the Global Contemporary – Transnational Art Historiographies from Eastern and East-Central Europe, will be held in Leipzig (Leibniz-Institut für Geschichte und Kultur des östlichen Europa) on 23–25 November 2017.

The third conference will be entitled Marxism(s) in Art Historiography and will be held in Berlin from 31st January to 2nd February 2020. See the call for papers.
The series is organized in cooperation between the Institute of Art History and Visual Culture at the Estonian Academy of Arts (Krista Kodres, Kristina Jõekalda), the Chair of Art History of Eastern Europe at the Humboldt University of Berlin (Michaela Marek, Katja Bernhardt) and the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe, Leipzig (Marina Dmitrieva, Beata Hock, Antje Kempe).
Each conference in the series has its own board and organizing committee.
