On May 6, 2017 the department of glass organized an open day where interested people had an opportunity to become involved in different glass processes. Assistant professor Tiina Sarapu, teacher Piret Ellamaa, MA students Kateriin Rikken, Toomas Mäelt and Maarja Mäemets introduced the variety of possibilities working with glass both as a material for artistic expression and design solutions. Hot glass demo at the Raja workshop was followed by the opportunity for the participants to try glass blowing, later on also the glass fusing and cold techniques were practiced.
