Co-Designing Healthcare, a 2-year joint initiative of Estonian, Finnish, and Swedish higher education and healthcare institutions, will help identify and co-design solutions to hospitals’ challenges.
On Monday, 12 November, 2018 Estonian Academy of Arts in collaboration with Estonian Connected Health Cluster, North Estonia Medical Centre, and project partners from Finland and Sweden, will hold one-day seminar to share their experience in developing and implementing solutions to improve health and social care delivery. The seminar will be followed by reverse pitching sessions, where Lapland Central Hospital, North Estonia Medical Centre, and Sahlgrenska University Hospital reach out to deliver their problem statements to designers. Co-Designing Healthcare will, then, address the hospitals’ challenges in sets of one-week design sprint iterations to be held in Estonia, Finland, and Sweden in 2019. In so doing, Co-Designing Healthcare aims not only to improve existing healthcare services, but also to design service innovation and long-term strategic change within the National Healthcare Systems in the Nordic-Baltic region.
Co-Designing Healthcare inaugural seminar will be held at Estonian Academy of Arts, located in Põhja pst 7, Tallinn, from 12:45 to 18:00, and is targeted primarily to healthcare decision-makers and practitioners, including service and interaction designers, but the number of places available is limited.
