Rahel Aerin Eslas

Rahel Aerin Eslas in an art historian and junior researcher – PhD student. Her main research topics are 18th century French esthetics, art critique and philosophy of art and nature.

She is doing her PhD at the same time both at the Estonian Arts Academy (advisor prof. Krista Kodres) and Université Paris Cité (advisor prof. Frédéric Ogée).

At the Institute of Art History and Visual culture she has lead writing workshops for students. In addition to academic research she has written cultural critique in Estonian newspapers such as Müürileht, Sirp and Postimees.

Rahel Aerin Eslas has received a scholarship from the French Foreign Ministry and has been named as a young francofonian embassador (JAF).
