Sandra Nuut is a design writer and educator working at the Department of Graphic Design of Estonian Academy of Arts. Nuut’s work includes lecturing, writing and curatorial projects in the design field, such as the symposion and art book fair “Making Public and Public: Art Publishing in Context” at the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design in 2019 as part of the publisher’s Lugemik exhibition public programme. In 2016 she founded Jane Jacobs, a collective to highlight environmental and community related issues.
Nuut has previously worked at New York-based gallery Chamber 2014–2017. Her writing has been published in Sirp, Müürileht, and Design Observer. She edits and publishes monthly publication Dear Friend in collaboration with Ott Kagovere.
Nuut graduated with an MA in Design Criticism from the School of Visual Arts and a BA in Art History from Estonian Academy of Arts.
