Inclusive Ecological Critisism

Inclusive ecological criticism examines the relationship between humans and ecosystems, focusing on environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. Using design and co-creative methods, this research investigates how to influence and transform societal perceptions, values, and behaviors regarding environmental issues while promoting ecological awareness and sustainable lifestyles.

Ongoing Projects

Artists and Designers as Explorers, Interpreters, and Partners of Nature in the Context of Degrowth

The current ecological crisis is all-encompassing, requiring a rethinking of what it means to be human and how we relate to other living beings. It is therefore appropriate for artists and designers to reconsider their possibilities for action and the changing nature of their roles. How can one do less but make it more meaningful? The concept of degrowth is not yet widely embraced in the fields of art and design. This project aims to contribute to the dissemination of the degrowth mindset, the rise of environmental awareness, and the appreciation of interspecies co-creation. The goal of the project is to develop creative research methods for relating to nature that amplify intentional minimalism in the fields of art and design while offering practical solutions for rethinking the roles of artists and designers.

The project will conduct two case studies that experiment with creating meaning through positive activism with minimal resource consumption.
