Science Café at Põhjala Factory

EKA, EMTA and BFM invite you to the Science Café!

At Põhjala factory’s AnkruSAAL (Ankru 10, Tallinn) on May 27 at 18:00.

During the discussion evening, creative researchers from three universities will open up the background behind their practice and research, and the nature, methods and outputs of creative research will be discussed.

Jane Remm (EKA), Marta Konovalov (EKA), Elen Lotman (BFM), Juhan Uppin (EMTA) will participate in the discussion round, moderated by Jaak Sikk (EMTA).

We are also launching a brand new creative research best practices website!

In the second half of the evening, Juhan Uppin (PhD in music) will present his newly published book “Development of the traditional playing style of the Teppo type wind instrument in the 20th century and the creation of a tradition-conscious performance practice” (EMTA Creative Research 6).

We offer coffee, snacks and a musical performance.
