The following can become readers with full borrowing rights

• The Academy’s students (BA, MA and PhD)
• Foreign and exchange students
• Faculty members, employees

The following can become readers with limited borrowing rights

• Art teachers (checkout when possible)
• Academy’s alumni
• Open Academy
• Students from other public universities, TTK University of Applied Sciences and the Tartu Art College
• Students from private universities (right to read on-site) 
• Other public culture and art figures and representatives of design companies (right to read on-site)

To register as a reader, a photo ID must be presented (ID card, passport, student card).

DEADLINES
BOOKS
Can be checked out for 15 days (up to 10 copies)
Books that are marked as “Kohalkasutus” can only be used in the library
Readers from outside the Academy cannot check out textbooks (Õppekirjandus) included in the curricula.
DVDs
Lending due date: 5 days (up to 3 items)
Borrowing rights: Academy students, Academy faculty members, Academy employees.
JOURNALS
Lending due date: 5 days (up to 3 items)
Borrowing rights: Academy students, Academy faculty members, Academy employees and Academy graduates.

MA THESES, PhD THESES AND NEWSPAPERS
To be read only in the reading room (can be copied with the author’s permission)

RENEWALS
In My ESTER and by phone (+372 6 267 334). Maximum of two extensions and only if there is no waiting list for the item!

FINES
Books, DVDs and journals — 5 euro cents per day
Books with marked as “Tunnilaenutus” — 5 euro cents per hour

GETTING WAITLISTED
To get on the waiting list for books which have been lent out or are on exhibit
• Contact a librarian
• Phone the library (phone +372 6 267 334)
• By e-mail to library@artun.ee
There is no waiting list for books that are being processing; the ones that can only be borrowed for 24 hours. We’ll inform you by phone of the availability of the material, which will be held for 7 days.
Lost or damaged literature must be paid for or replaced with the equivalent!
