The leadership of CIRRUS, led by the Dean of the EKA Faculty of Design Ruth Melioranski and the Head of International Office Sandra Mell, in cooperation with the Rector of the Vilnius Academy of Arts Ieva Skauronė and the Head of the Design Center Audronė Drungilaitė, organized the CIRRUS leaders meeting that took place in Vilnius on April 10-12, 2024. The seminar aimed to provide a unique platform for leaders in the design field of CIRRUS network universities to exchange experiences and solve common management challenges.
The seminar focused on the nuances of leadership roles, personal challenges in management, and creating a supportive network among colleagues. One representative from each institution participated in the seminar, following the decision of the CIRRUS council.
“EKA has set in its development plan that we want to grow the university’s impact as one of the most important centers of creative thought in the Nordic and Baltic countries. In light of this knowledge, it is pleasing to note that cooperation between the Nordic and Baltic countries, which has always been important for EKA, is becoming increasingly important among the 20 design colleges in the CIRRUS network,” noted Dean Ruth Melioranski.
The event started on the evening of April 10, and various activities took place on the following days, including a tour of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, workshops, and a visit to the Mo Museum.
The event’s organizing team included Rector Ieva Skauronė and Audronė Drungilaitė from the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Rachel K. B. Troye from AHO, and Sandra Mell, CIRRUS network secretary and Dean of the Faculty of Design Ruth Melioranski.
