Triin Tint
“NIMBY”
The knitwear collection is inspired by the controversy with trash bags – they are synonyms with something unattractive, nasty and dirty, while coming from the same source – oil – as polyester and acrylic, which are one of the most common materials used in knitwear. All outfits are trying to challenge the paradox and are entirely knitted by hand.
2 outfits were made during an intense knitwear workshop and other 5 are born in process.
*NIMBY states for ‘not in my backyard’ which is common attitude towards various unpleasant topics, which are tolerated in general, but not close by.
