Saarimaa ülikool ja Alicante ülikool avavad EKA tudengitele BA taseme õppeained

Transform4Europe projekti eesmärk on parandada õpivahetust ja pakkuda õppeaineid ülikoolide vahel. Keskendume õppeainetele, mis on vajalikud kliimamuutuste, rände, demograafiliste muutuste ja digitaalarengu valdkonna väljakutsetega toime tulemiseks.

Meie partnerid Saarimaa ülikool ja Alicante ülikool avavad EKA tudengitele järgmised BA taseme õppeained. Kursused on onlines ja inglise keeles.

Piiratud arv kohti, jagub esimestele registreerinutele.

Registreerimise tähtaeg Saarimaa ülikooli õppeainetele on 29. märts, Alicante ülikooli õppeainetele 31. märts.

Peale kursuse lõppu saab ained üle kanda vabaaineks VÕTA kaudu.

  1. Transform4Europe: Knowledge Entrepreneurship (3 ECTS)

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Knowledge Entrepreneurship combines entrepreneurial knowledge with knowledge about change management and transformation processes.

Dates: 15/04 – 22/07
Fridays, 12 am-2pm CET

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION:
We will briefly summarise the existence and development of this term before diving into the work of the EU institutions. What do they do? Who pulls the strings? How powerful are the Member States? Is it all politics or more of an administrative character? How are EU acts adopted – and what effects do these acts have? How does the Court of Justice work?

UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE COURSE OFFER – ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/22

  1. Transform4Europe: From data to knowledge. An introduction to big data, open data and data mining technologies (3 ECTS)

Modality: ONLINE (80% Attendance Compulsory)

SYLLABUS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:

This course provides an overview of the knowledge discovery in databases pipeline, that is, the process of discovering useful knowledge from large collections of data.

ASSESSMENT: Final essay or resolution of practical exercises.

 

  1. Transform4Europe: Deep Learning Fundamentals (3 ECTS)

Modality: ONLINE (80% Attendance Compulsory)

SYLLABUS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:
To acquire Fundamentals of Deep Learning
Session 1: Introduction
Session 2: Convolutional Neural Networks
Session 3: Recurrent Neural Networks

  1. Transform4Europe: Human Resources Management. Skills for managing people in a global context (3 ECTS)

 

Modality: ONLINE (80% Attendance Compulsory)
Dates: 20/06 – 30/06

SYLLABUS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:
To acquire skills to manage people in a global context by examining the current international and competitive challenges and learning how to make successful managerial decisions in human resources management.

  • Analyze the international and competitive challenges for managing people: diversity, rapid business changes, globalization, flexibility and Internet.
  • Develop organizational skills to improve people: competitive position, decentralization, downsizing, work teams, outsourcing, organizational culture and technology.
  • Improve skills to match people and organizations: increase productivity, avoid loss of talent, telecommuting, e-learning and empowerment.
  • Examine training techniques to “make skills” in line with the organizational objectives.
  • Introduce and analyze different compensation and pay practices.
  • Implant motivational practices for employees in a win-win strategy between the organization and employees.
  • Describe how to evaluate people to earn a competitive advantage and develop a job analysis and job description.
  • Learn to make successful managerial decisions in relationship with hiring talent (recruitment and selection techniques).
  • Make decisions about employee separations. Discuss how to avoid lay-offs and, in case, how to manage it and introduce an outplacement program.
  • Improve communication practices: networking, managing meetings, develop an employee handbook, a suggestion system, and an employee recognition program.
  • Analyze how to manage people in the international context: different policies and practices with expatriates (selection, training, career development and compensation).
